Enroll in a forward-looking program: prepare for a career as a biotechnology laboratory technician with a professional bachelor's degree focused on innovation and cutting-edge technologies in an environment of excellence, with extensive professional immersion and personalized support.
The Professional Bachelor's Degree prepares students for careers as senior laboratory technicians and assistant engineers in the dynamic biotechnology sectors: health, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, and environment. The goal? Rapid and successful entry into the workforce, thanks to practical, targeted training in line with the needs of companies and laboratories in the sector.
Students with a clear career plan can also consider continuing their studies in a Master's program or engineering school.
From the first year (LP1), students acquire a solid foundation of knowledge in biology/biotechnology, while developing their professional skills in a small-scale environment conducive to exchange and progress. Each student receives personalized support to promote their success.
Informations
Skills
At the end of the LP1, students will be able to:
- Explain an experimental protocol within the framework of a scientific approach in biotechnology
- Follow an experimental protocol and describe the results
- Work in a professional environment
Objectives
The aim is to train students for careers as assistant engineers and senior laboratory technicians in various fields of biology. To fulfil their roles, graduates must have acquired a solid knowledge of the fundamental disciplines of biology. In addition, introductory courses are designed to enable them to enter the world of work in the best possible conditions. In the first year of the Professional Bachelor's Degree (LP1), students will take courses in fundamental and applied biology, supplemented by courses in chemistry and mathematics applied to biology, in order to acquire a solid foundation on which to build in the second (LP2) and third (LP3) years of the Professional Bachelor's Degree. The cross-disciplinary taught subjects (English, work and scientific methodologies, professional integration techniques, oral and written communication, knowledge of business and bio-industries) will give students the opportunity to develop and refine their personal and professional project (PPP). A 7- to 8-week internship will also allow students to gain professional experience and skills that will facilitate obtaining an apprenticeship contract in LP2.
