How can recent advances in genomics be applied to sepsis, from human genetics to multi-omics? This will present work that advances our understanding of the heterogeneity of host response to infection that has been well recognized in sepsis, advancing opportunities for personalized care. Current challenges in the application of genomic approaches and their analysis and opportunities to maximize the informativeness of these data will also be highlighted.
